About high-voltage cables, mainly look at the wires on the poles and the cables in the underground pipe network. Because the selection of high-voltage cable considerations are quite complex, and there are quite a lot of types, then, let's understand the basic principles and requirements of high-voltage cable selection together!
About high-voltage cables, mainly look at the wires on the poles and the cables in the underground pipe network. Because the selection of high-voltage cable considerations are quite complex, and there are quite a lot of types, then, let's understand the basic principles and requirements of high-voltage cable selection together!
Structure of high voltage cable
The components of the high-voltage cable from the inside to the outside are conductor, insulation, inner shield, filling material (sheath), and outer insulation. Of course, sheathed high-voltage cables are mainly used for burial, which can resist the pressure of high strength on the ground and prevent damage caused by other external forces.
Types of high voltage cables
The main types of high-voltage cables are YJV cables, VV cables, YJLV cables, and VLV cables.
Selection of High Voltage Cable
1. The buried type refers to the laying of high-voltage cables directly underground (according to the geological conditions, the buried depth is different, generally more than 0.7 meters). For unstable geological conditions such as swamps and quicksand, wire harness cables can also be selected. (In fact, the armored cable we talked about is actually a combination that can be bent. It is characterized by hard, and the embedded laying has high protection requirements for the cable itself. It is suitable for armored cables with external protective layer; The internal material is different from the conductor, and the metal sleeve has an insulating layer.)
2. The distribution type refers to the laying of high-voltage cables in pre-made pipes. Lead to power loss and capacity drop, this laying method is easy to cause cable overheating, so it is more suitable for plastic protective sheath cable or bare sleeve cable.
Tunnel type refers to the laying of high-voltage cables on the bridge or bracket in the cable tunnel. The laying method is mostly used in cities, suitable for the use of bare sheathed cables and flame retardant plastic protective sheath cables, with good heat dissipation, easy maintenance characteristics, but the cable flame retardant requirements are higher.
4. The overhead type refers to the laying of high-voltage cables connected by vertical rods (electric poles). However, this method makes the cable completely exposed in the external space. This laying method is suitable for areas with flat terrain and small undulations, and is easily affected by the external environment and external forces. It is suitable for cables with outer skin and all-plastic cables.
