Wire and lightning conductor
A wire is a component used to conduct current and transmit electricity. Overhead lines generally use overhead bare conductors, each equivalent to more than 220kV lines due to large transmission capacity, while the use of split-phase conductors to reduce losses and interference. This means that two or more wires are used per phase. The use of split wires can transmit more power, less power loss, and has good dustproof performance.
overhead conductor array
The arrangement of the wires in the tower: a single loop can be arranged in a rectangular parallelepiped, triangular or horizontal arrangement, and a double loop loop can be an umbrella, inverted umbrella, dry or hexagonal. The wire is often tested by various natural conditions in operation, and must have the characteristics of good conductivity, high mechanical strength, light weight, low price and strong corrosion. China's aluminum resources are more abundant than copper, and the price of aluminum and copper is very different, so almost all use steel core aluminum wire.
The lightning wire is generally not insulated from the tower, but is directly erected on the top of the tower and connected to the grounding device through the tower or ground wire. The role of the lightning line is to reduce the chance of lightning strikes, improve the level of lightning resistance, reduce the number of lightning trips, and ensure the safe transmission of the line.
Guidelines, Grounding Classification
Guide, ground wire can usually be classified according to the use of raw materials or construction methods.
1. Overhead lines are classified according to raw materials.
Bare conductors can generally be divided into copper wire, aluminum wire, steel core aluminum wire, galvanized steel wire, etc.
Copper is a metal with good electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, but it does not meet the strength requirements of heavy duty, high price, and high mechanical strength. At present, overhead transmission lines are generally not used. The conductivity of aluminum is lower than that of copper, the quality is light, the price is low, and under the condition of the same resistance value, the quality of aluminum wire is only about half of that of copper wire, but the disadvantage is that the mechanical strength is low, and the conductivity is poor when the aluminum oxide film is formed on the surface during operation., Poor corrosion resistance, so commonly used high-voltage distribution lines, transmission lines generally do not use aluminum stranded wires. Steel has high mechanical strength, but poor conductivity, poor corrosion, and easy to rust, so ground wires, cables, and wires are generally not used.
Steel has high mechanical strength, aluminum has good electrical conductivity, and several wires inside the wire are steel wires that can withstand traction. The current is conducted externally with a multi-strand aluminum wire. Due to the skin effect of alternating current, the current mainly passes through the outer layer of the conductor, which makes full use of the conductivity of aluminum and the mechanical strength of steel. At present, almost all overhead transmission line conductors use steel core aluminum wires. The transfer line grounding wire and the carrier channel grounding wire also use steel core aluminum wire.
2. Overhead lines are classified according to configuration methods.
According to the different construction methods, the exposed wires can be divided into one metal or two metal kinks.
Metal stranded wire includes copper stranded wire, aluminum stranded wire, galvanized steel wire, etc. Transmission lines are used less and are not introduced here. The multi-blade kink of the two metals is mainly a steel-core aluminum kink, and the advantage of the kink is that it is easy to bend. The two adjacent layers of the stranded wire rotate in opposite directions, one layer is not easy to compete with Jiangsong wine, and secondly, the distance between the layers of wires is very large, increasing the wire diameter helps to reduce the loss of the new crown. In addition to the normal type, there are two types of steel core aluminum wire: reducing type and strengthening type.
